1. Who we are

Le Cercel X (“we”, “us”) operates a private VIP social application for lounges, events, and member connections. The app is intended for users in the United Arab Emirates and similar markets. Operator: Le Cercel X, United Arab Emirates. Email: privacy@lecercelx.com, support@lecercelx.com.

2. Data we collect

Account: email, display name, password (stored hashed), profile bio, avatar.
Social: link requests, connections, profile photos, comments, events you create or join.
Location: approximate or live coordinates when you enable “Share location” (for map, nearby lounges/members).
Device: Expo push notification token when you allow notifications.
Technical: IP address, server logs, app/API usage for security and operations.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. How we use data

Provide and secure the service (authentication, profiles, lounges, events, notifications).
Show nearby lounges and linked members when you opt in to location sharing.
Send push notifications for links, events, and friend activity (you can disable in app settings).
Comply with law and respond to data subject requests.

4. UAE law & legal bases

We process personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), as amended and enforced, and other applicable UAE laws including protections for minors under Federal Law No. 45 of 1992. Registration requires your consent to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. Electronic acceptance at sign-up constitutes consent where permitted under UAE electronic transactions rules.

We use infrastructure and service providers (hosting, email, Google Places API, Expo push services) that may process data outside the UAE. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards. We do not share personal data with third parties for their marketing.

6. Retention

Account data: until you delete your account or request erasure, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period.
Photos & content: until removed by you or account closure.
Location: while sharing is enabled; cleared when you disable sharing or delete location.
Logs: typically up to 90 days for security, unless longer retention is required by law.

7. Your rights

Subject to UAE PDPL, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and withdrawal of consent. Submit requests via Data & privacy requests or privacy@lecercelx.com. You may lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office where applicable.

8. Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls, and industry-standard practices. No method is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password.

9. Age restriction

Le Cercel X is for users 21 years and older only (alcohol/lounge context). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 21.
